Arriving unexpectedly on a quiet Sunday afternoon, I settled at the bar with a Shrimp Po Boy and candied bacon that lingered on my mind long after the last bite. The attentive bartenders and the warmly inviting ambiance created a comforting retreat before heading to the nearby Civic Center.
