Chicken Hut serves fresh, made-to-order fried chicken that's packed with flavor, especially when eaten hot right out of the oil. Their chicken sandwiches loaded with everything are absolutely delicious, and the prices can't be beat for such satisfying comfort food. While the atmosphere and surroundings might be rough around the edges, the convenience of their hours and consistently tasty chicken keep me coming back time and again.

Chicken Hut is my go-to for late-night bites in Mt. Vernon. Their chicken is the real star of the show, so I always stick to that and pass on the sides. The prices are unbeatable, and they've got a variety of options from fried chicken to burgers to salads. The cashier, Mondo, is always spot on with orders, just make sure to ask for napkins because they tend to forget!
