Food is okay at best, when your menu says covered in gravy you should have enough gravy to cover the biscuit, or on eggs benedict enough hollandaise sauce to cover the English muffin. Staff was friendly enough but seemed to lack any direction as to what is expected. About 5 groups of people ahead of us on the waiting list but took a half hour for 2 seats at the counter. This is largely in part to the lack of anyone bussing tables. There were several empty tables that sat unbussed for at least 15 minutes with one that they just kept piling stuff on that stayed dirty for almost 45 minutes. The kitchen looked cluttered and staff kept running into each other. I would also worry about employee hygiene as I watched one stuff her hand into the trash as it must have been full and go right back to serving and another stick her finger in her ear neither washed their hands before continuing to serve food. I guess this could have just been an off day but for my money there are plenty of other places I will go instead of Bernie's. Sad because we had heard good things and were excited to try it.

Food- if you get it is slightly above average - but the service is incredibly slow - not sure how Northern Hotel allows this - it reflects very badly on them.
