The atmosphere of the historic building, once a public library, adds a unique charm to the dining experience, with its beautiful woodwork and towering ceilings creating a warm, inviting ambiance. Every meal I've enjoyed here, from perfectly cooked prime rib and flavorful beef on weck to fresh salads and crispy fish fry dinners, has been satisfying and thoughtfully prepared, accompanied by attentive and friendly service. The combination of delicious comfort food, reasonable prices, and genuine hometown hospitality keeps drawing me back for more memorable visits.

Terrible service. Less than friendly host. Waited a ridiculously long time for everything from taking the drink order to getting drinks, to taking the food order and getting the food. Terrible followup once the food was delivered in case we needed anything, in which case we did. This review stands for more than one visit, I convinced my family to give it another shot on multiple occasions but the issues were the same each time, even with being served by different staff members. As for the food - it's terrible and way overpriced for it's quality. It's a terrible shame to take what was once a very nice restaurant with good food, in a beautiful historic building and now basically you feel like you might as well be eating at a fast food joint. New ownership is slowly running it into the ground. I'd have enjoyed a Big Mac more I think.

Not even a minus 2 anymore, it's off the charts! Food's nasty, all the good servers have left the restaurant, and the new owner is a former manager of McDonald's. Change the name to McBeefeter's and get the McWeck!!! My wife and I, friends and family miss the old Beefeater's; service, food, and class!!! Whoever the previous owner was, please buy it back!!!

On a scale of 1-10, it now gets a minus 2. They're increased the prices and cheapened the product. Last time for us. Not even a fine restaurant anymore. 9 months to go until the doors close.
