I went for the first time in August 2020 and had a great experience, there. I had the good fortune to return this year, and once again, the food and service was amazing! You'll see me again!
Try the smothered burrito, it is insanely delicious!!

We were in town for 2 nights in July and obviously looking for a place to eat. The hotel staff recommended the Rubi Slipper and so my wife and I decided to give it a try. I'm not sure where to start because we ended up eating here both nights we were in town. We had the tacos the first night because we weren't sure of what to get. I had the basic fried tacos and double wrapped ones while my wife had the Cool Cream ones. They were both excellent, but I really liked the double-wrapped ones.
While sitting there, you couldn't help but notice how busy they were and how large the portions were with all of the meals that were coming out of the tiny kitchen. So we decided to come back our 2nd night in town. This time it was all about the hamburgers. My wife and I split a double cheese with fried egg and green chilies. OMG, it was so good and too much for both of us to finish because we needed to try the amazing-looking desserts. Needless to say, if we were staying the 3rd night, we would have gone back again.
Keep up the great work, you have some amazing team members that make this a special place.

Luv it! I've only had 1/4 of wats on the menu, never a disappointment, highly reccomend, good food, good atmosphere, great service! Always packed! Well worth the wait ;) Weekly returning customer!

I get the privilege of going to Alamosa twice a month but I am not normally there in time to eat out. After talking to a few of the locals the ruby slipper came up with every person. I decided to try it. Every meal is made separately and with fresh ingredient in an area about the size of a kitchen table. When you go make sure you save room for dessert.
