My friend and I went for Sunday breakfast today and decided to sit outside. We were seated immediately and then waited, waited, and waited. Not even a glass of water was offered. Forget coffee. After ten minutes a couple came in and sat next to us and I mentioned to my friend that if the waitress stopped at their table we were out. The “ hostess” never even looked over.
Finally, along came the waitress, who proceeded to take breakfast orders. From the other table.
BINGO! Out we went.
The service and breakfast at the 84 Diner was awesome.

Really poor experience.
Waitress ignored us, food came out very slow.
My partner's food was done 15 minutes before mine and left to stand. My fish was burnt on the outside, raw inside and tasteless. The cook forgot ingredients and the ordered sides were forgotten.
Management didn't seem to care that I mentioned that I had the same dish there twice previously and what I was given was "not their best effort". We left most of our food on the plates and no one bothered to ask if we wanted to take it home (guess what? We did not). No effort was made to reconcile our meals.
Inconsistent food, inconsistent service and poor management made for a REALLY poor experience. We are not rushing back any time soon.

Very very nasty cold food. They will give you dirty faucet water with ice instead of filtered water.

One star is definitely one star too many. This is the most horrible Diner I’ve ever been to in my whole life and I am Greek and say I have worked in a few dinners and been to plenty of diners and never have I had such horrible food, service is fine but the food is disgusting. I ordered a Greek omelette which the menu clearly says feta cheese, onions, tomatoes and for some reason they have bacon in it I’ve never seen that before but it was OK I ordered it without tomatoes and for some reason they threw in a can of corn, there was so much corn in my omelette that I was not able to eat it. One time I had a Greek salad and they gave me some kind of creamy dressing that they state, it was Greek dressing but Greek dressing is supposed to be like oil and vinegar with herbs and spices maybe some feta cheese in it, not creamy like ranch which this apparently was definitely a creamy dressing it was gross. I could go on and on on how their food is horrible. Will never go back ever ever ever and will never recommend this place to anyone.

The service is good and the food comes fast, but
I just don't understand the $2.40 price for a cup of coffee?

I was there today with my husband for dinner. The place was loud and crowded and da food i ordered which i have ordered before, "sucked". The appetizer, chicken nachos, was bland, dry and most of it consisted of lettuce and avocado. The soda was flat, my husband and i had two different kinds and they were both flat. I had to change to ice tea which tasted more like water than rasberry iced tea. The cheeseburger was also bland, no onions or melted cheese, just a big piece of tomato and lettuce on top. I was extremely disappointed and i even asked if da management had changed hands, which they had not. I have been here before and it was good, maybe an off day perhaps? I will try one more time and see if its different. Will write review as well, only time will tell.

We have never written a review before but we had such a great experience tonight we had to. my husband is in a wheelchair right now, not only did two people run out side to help us in the food and service was great!!! Then we were helped outside with a thank you and a smile this is so rare these days and so appreciated you have a great staff and we will be back soon we will also be recommending you to all of our friends and family thank you again for all of your kindness sincerely, The Shepherds☺️👍

Portions were large had a lot wrapped to take home went up to pay cashier then went back to table to get our bag of leftovers but the bus boy had completely cleared the table and threw our leftovers out rather than going to the front to see if we were still there. Our waitress and the hostess gave a flippant "sorry " and said they could check the garbage if we wanted! How ridiculous is that! We will not be back - should have asked for part of the tip back. With so many options in the area to eat at, the Red Line Diner should be more customer focused rather than speed of flipping tables. We suggest going somewhere else!
