Anyway, I asked to speak to the manager, when the same person that I spoke to on the phone arrived. I asked him why the special was not being honored, and showed him the flyer that was located on the counter directly in front of us. The "manager" stated that the special was for a cheese pizza, and if you deviate from that in any way, you will be charged the full price. I explained that by adding toppings, the restaurant is actually making more money, because the cost of the ingredients surely is less than the extended food cost of the item. e.g...I added mushrooms that cost 2.00 per topping, and could not have cost the restaurant more than .25c.. The manager again said that the "special is what it is" , and there was nothing he could do for me. I advised him that I had purchased this same pizza for my family for the last 2 months, and I have never had an issue. The "manager" stated "well then the girls weren't doing their job correctly". I would have just left the pizza for them to keep, but I had a hungry family, and my card had already been charged. PLEASE keep on the look-out for the "manager" that seems to run the place during non-lunch or dinner hours. Gray hair, balding, with a large stomach and poor attitude.
To sum up...love the pizza, but the service is less than poor. You will find the staff is on the cell phone for much of the time, and make no effort to please the customers. Unfortunately, I will never return. I have watched 4 restaurants open and fail at this same location. I really thought Serafino's had a chance. But with the arrogance of the management, I am looking forward to the next restaurant arriving.
I commented about my experience on their website, however, no reply. All the business that could have been, lost to an inexperienced "manager" that won't understand simple business
