We were on our land/cruise vacation through Alaska from 8/9/22 - 8/22/22. We had 2 nights at the Bear Lodge Wedgewood in Fairbanks. We stayed at the Bear Lodge the nights of 8/12 and 8/13. The Hotel was very nice. I would give it a 4 of 5 rating. The bed and pillow were a little ft for our liking. The Golden Bear Restaurant was our unfortunate dinner choice for the night of 8/13. Giving it a 1 of 5 is higher than I should give it. The service was Terrible and the Food was Worse. Our waiter took our order. I tried to get some preferred choices out of him. When I inquired about the fish and chips, he said not a good choice because they are frozen fillets and awful. If I were his boss, I would have fired him immediately. He took our order. We didn't see him again. After an hour wait, I flagged down a server who looked like she might be the head waitress. She checked on our order. We got it in about 15 minutes. It was AWFUL !!! I demanded a Complimentary order of Nachos, thinking, I don't think they can screw these up. They weren't much better. We got our bill. Needless to say, I left NO Tip !!
