Took my wife and mother in-law out for a late Valentine's dinner tonight and everything was great, service and food. The food was okay but smallish portions for the money. We still had a great experience. Service was excellent. Another awesome meal at Lilfred's! The shrimp is always a hit! Tried something new - the duck! Pretty dang tasty...I should've asked for it to be cooked a tad longer...only like 1 min and 30 secs. The Pinot Noir was pretty good. But seriously....always a nice meal. I love y'all. The whipped icing was perfect with the cake. Another yummy and light dessert after dinner. Such a small town gem in the middle of Rembert, about 25 mins from Sumter or Camden. It has a quaint atmosphere and an easy to maneuver menu. I'd suggest calling ahead to make a reservation because they put your name on the table so that when you arrive you can basically seat yourself. Just remember to listen to the lady on the phone when she tells you where to walk when you arrive. The menu is like a 4 course meal, you get a choice of an app, salad, entree and then dessert. Two drinks are included if you choose to had alcohol on your menu. If not drinks are about $10 each. We had a wonderful, casual dinner with delicious food and excellent service. We tried the ribeye with fries and shrimp and grits and were very happy. The chef sent out a tasty amuse bouche of a shortbread biscuit with a bacon jam. The house Zinfandel complimented the steak perfectly. We were not crazy about the other glass of wine that we ordered, and the server happily swapped it out for the Zin. The cole slaw is unique and tasty (house salad is other option with entrees and is simple but good as well). We live on Shaw AFB and it was a quick and easy 20 min drive. We had heard great things about Lilfred's and will be back!
