Saturday night while on a Bar Crawl, myself and a very large group (African Americans) made a stop by the Federal Taphouse via a Charterd Luxery Bus. It was made very obvious to us by their treatment of us that they did not want our business. We attempted to address an issue that we had with one of their servers with a Manager. The server was extremely ignorant and nasty towards us and we attempted to express this to the Manager. We did this is a respectful manner but the he didn't want to hear it. Instead of simply saying to us that "I will address the issue with my staff" (as a good and professional Manager should have done), he instead tried to flip it and put the blame on our group. We are ALL college graduates and professionals (Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers, etc), and have done this beer crawl for the last 3 years around Lancaster WITH NO INCIDENTS!! Because I did not except him flipping the blame on us, and questioning the manager, I was thrown out of the bar (mind u, I've never been thrown out of anywhere in my life because that's not who I am). Due to this incident my entire group chose to leave and not patronize this bar. I/we will NEVER return there. All our group wanted to do was enjoy ourselves and celebrate Millersville's Homecoming. But obviously from the treatment that we received they were uncomfortable with having a large group of African Americans in the bar and were unwilling to provide the same service that they would for others.
