After a long drive from Chicago, where the pizza left much to be desired, I was craving a genuine New York-style slice and found exactly that at Ferro's in West Seneca. The 18-inch cheese pie arrived with a beautifully balanced crust-chewy yet not too bread-like-with the perfect snap of authentic mozzarella and a robust sauce that brought back memories of borough pizzerias. Though a bit pricey and slightly greasy, the atmosphere and friendly service made the experience memorable, and reheated leftovers the next day only enhanced the flavors.
