The restaurant has a diverse menu and makes their own dressings in house, which I really appreciate. However, there can be inconsistencies in the food quality, especially with to-go orders sometimes missing items. Eating in can be a mixed experience due to sticky tables and a slippery floor, but overall, the place has potential to become a popular spot if they focus on consistency.

Stopped for lunch on 06/11/19 on our way to Roan Mountain. Half of our family had the Reuben's; the other half had Swiss Mushroom Burgers. Amazing flavor and juicyness! The buns were delicious, too! We all had different kinds of potatoes/fries which were also very tasty! Our waitress was very attentive and extremely pleasant! We would definitely return to Hef's when we are in the area again!

Wings are amazing. Pizza is average. Eat the wings. You don't want to be average.

Food is good, but service leaves something to be desired. There was a table with approximately 12 people, the waitress was at their beck and call, which is fine. But my table of two, which was right beside this one, couldn't get a refill, had to ask for silverware. Had to go to the counter to get ranch dressing, was pretty much totally ignored. So on 3 separate occasions, we decided to call in our order on 3 different Wednesdays, we called at least 30 or 40 minutes only to get a busy signal. Guess the phone is laid off. Take care of your locals if you want your locals to spend local! Won't be back!
