Lao Sze Chuan serves authentic Sichuan cuisine that truly captures the numbing and spicy "mala" flavors with dishes like mapo tofu, Sichuan boil fish, and the Forget Me Not Chicken standing out. The extensive menu offers something for everyone, and while the service can be hit or miss, the welcoming staff and vibrant ambiance make it a reliable spot for those craving genuine Sichuan tastes in the Twin Cities.

Lao Sze Chuan has some of the most delicious Sichuan dishes around. The savory and spicy flavors, especially from the Sichuan peppercorn, really make your taste buds dance. It's a nice change from the usual Hong Kong-style or American Chinese cuisine that leans towards salty and sweet profiles. I particularly love the mapo tofu and Sichuan boiled fish - those are always my go-tos!
