Lauren provided excellent service during my visit. The food was very enjoyable and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, there was a missed opportunity to acknowledge a special occasion we were celebrating. Despite this, the ribeye steak was delicious without needing steak sauce, and the baked Mac & Cheese was exceptional. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience with reasonable prices.

The first six times I ate at Southern Char were acceptable. A little pricey for the area, but the rib eyes have a great flavor. They are a little on the fatty side and only 1 side comes with the "meal". Side salads are only lettuce and croutons. The last experience was awful. The prices have risen 25% and my husband's new york strip was 1/2 gristle - totally inedible; the waiter did not offer anything (sympathy, concern, recompense...)
This was a Mother's Day for my Mom and Mom-in-law; totally bad experience. Will not return
