There's a wonderful local winery out here northeast of Mebane where the vibe is laid-back and the outdoor space is perfect for relaxing with friends and family by the pond. The weekend live music on the lawn, combined with tasty wines like their surprisingly good chardonnay and delicious food trucks, makes for a great time without the crowds you find closer to town. The staff, especially Will, really know their wines and make you feel right at home, plus you're welcome to hang out outside even after they close inside.
