I rarely write reviews, however this situation was completely inappropriate. A colleague of ours called to make a reservation to have his retirement party here. He specifically asked if it was ok to bring cake, balloon,etc. He was told yes.

We bought this sheet cake and had it decorated for his going away, brought plates, forks, napkins so as to not create a mess or use the restaurants. We were completely unaware he had this conversation (until the very next day). So we show up and put the cake on an unoccupied bar table. There were plenty of vacant tables, the cake had the bakery seal on the box, and we brought about 20ish people into the establishment...all of whom purchased food, appetizers, and multiple rounds of drinks.

We were then approached by the OWNER who then proceeded to tell us we were not allowed to serve the cake. Furthermore, if we wanted to serve the cake there was an ADDITIONAL charge of 50 dollars!!! We were told we would be charged 2.00 per person in our party.

Many folks in the party frequent this place, well not ANYMORE. The owner was a complete B-TCH, told us had we asked she would have told us in advance. It was a surprise, so there's no way we would've even KNOWN to ask in the first place.

You just lost a TON of customers!!!!  ... if you do the math, it far EXCEEDS your 50.00.
