The evening began with the gentle chime of the dinner bell, inviting us inside where tables were adorned with linens and name cards, setting a warm and inviting tone. Each dish arrived steaming and satisfying-the pot roast tender and the meatloaf hearty, accompanied by crisp green beans and velvety mashed potatoes, all crafted with care and bursting with flavor. Sitting on the porch with a bottle of wine before the meal, surrounded by quiet grounds and the serene beauty of Moosehead Lake, I felt the comforting embrace of a truly home-cooked experience in Maine's northwoods.

The prime rib at the restaurant was excellent and generously portioned, and the staff provided fantastic service. I would recommend making reservations due to the rotating menu, which featured options like pot roast and scallops on the night we dined. The cozy cabins at the resort offer a peaceful setting with beautiful maple floors, and the lodge serves up delicious home-style meals prepared with care. The hosts, Gail and her husband, are gracious, making it a wonderful place for a meal or a getaway in the Rockwood area.
