The island food was delicious - the fried chicken was a standout, and the spicy jerk meats paired perfectly with the rice and peas. The establishment could benefit from some improvements in cleanliness and maintenance, but overall, the food quality deserves a top rating. The chef's skills are impressive, despite their somewhat off-putting demeanor. The seafood dishes, especially the shrimp pasta and curry crab legs, are personal favorites. The oxtail was tender and flavorful, and the sides like rice and red beans, mac and cheese, and steamed broccoli were all satisfying. The fast, buffet-style West Indian cuisine has a comforting, homemade appeal. The staff at the restaurant are consistently friendly and accommodating, making for a pleasant dining experience.
