After an exhausting day of hiking at New River, my friend and I wandered into Heart of Gold Diner, lured by the promise of comfort food. The Double Mushroom Swiss Bacon Burger was a revelation, juicy and perfectly cooked, while the Chili Cheese Fries fell short of expectations. With friendly service and a cozy, nostalgic ambiance, this charming diner provided just the respite we needed, and I can't wait to return.
