I adore this cozy little hideaway, a cherished haunt since childhood, where the familiar booths, tables, and pool table beckon. Despite changing ownership, the essence of the delicious subs remains unchanged, especially the savory grilled or cold chicken on fresh rolls from Elkland Bakery. The unpretentious charm and mouthwatering offerings make it a gem of a spot for a satisfying and comforting meal.

the subs are not the same as Avery's. they're not dark toasted the same inside like the originals losing a ton of flavor. i still order there when i am in the area as i still consider the subs and other menu items still very good and the service is still great.

The bar formerly known as Averys, the best subs in 3 counties!!!! Exactly as they were when I was a little girl going there with Grampa Wakley!!! Good wings, cheeseburgers, and cheesesteaks. Never had a bad meal there in over 50 years!!! Kid friendly, kind staff, great service!!! Our secret hideaway....
