Although often closed unexpectedly, this family-owned spot serves an impressive variety of expertly cooked, deep-fried hot dogs with creative toppings and friendly service in a genuine Jersey atmosphere, making it well worth checking their hours and trying items like the Jersey Dog, Burrito Dog, Italian Dog, and unique sides while enjoying their house-brand sodas and engaging with the personable owner.

Love this place, but it always seems to be closed when I swing by. You can customize your Callahan's hot dog any way you like. I've been a regular and never had a bad dog there. Just make sure to call ahead to check if they're open, as they can be closed at times.
