Tom's blue cheeseburger blew me away with its chopped steak and amazing flavor, and the wall burger was just as delicious. The staff was friendly and quick, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable, plus the homemade root beer and crispy onion rings were fantastic. The vibe inside is classic and welcoming, making it a solid choice whenever I'm in Rochester and craving a satisfying burger.

Tom Wahl's in Avon is a long-standing favorite among upstate New Yorkers, known for their ground steak sandwiches and homemade root beer. The restaurant chain has a rich history dating back to 1955 when it was founded by Tom Wahl and his brother Bill. On a recent visit to the Rochester location, I indulged in their signature 'Wahlburger' - a delicious combination of ground steak, grilled ham, Swiss cheese, lettuce, and special sauce in a sesame seed roll. The flavors were exceptional, and paired with friendly service and a retro ambiance, it's no wonder Tom Wahl's has become a beloved tradition for many.
