I'm from Los Angeles and visited Smokey's about a month ago, and it was the best BBQ I've ever had! The BBQ sauce was just right-full of flavor but not overpowering. I'm definitely going back for more, especially after trying the brisket and hot links that a regular recommended; they were spot on!
