The service at Big E Smokehouse is friendly and attentive, with owners Evan and Cristina treating guests like family. The menu features flavorful options such as moist barbacoa, tender brisket, pork tamales, and a standout smoked mac and cheese sandwich, although some items are only available on specific days due to limited kitchen capacity. Despite living in San Antonio, I appreciate that the owner offers to mail orders, and our group of nine thoroughly enjoyed every dish we tried during our visit to Brownsville.
