The strawberry drink was thick and delicious, perfectly paired with creamy ice cream that reminded me of the flavors I missed from SoCal. The menu boasts an impressive variety of Mexican treats like mangonadas, paletas, and churro cheesecake, each bursting with fresh fruit, chocolate, caramel, and condensed milk. Despite a small parking lot and occasional lines, the friendly staff and vibrant atmosphere make every visit worth the trip, especially when craving a sweet escape or a refreshing agua fresca.

The strawberry drink at Sweets & Sugars was surprisingly thick, but I enjoyed it alongside the ice cream options available. Unfortunately, Midtown lacks eloteros and ice cream trucks, unlike my previous SoCal neighborhood. Sweets & Sugars fills that niche by offering a wide variety of Mexican desserts and treats that I've been craving since moving to Davis.
