The service is polite and efficient with attentive staff, the ambiance is intimate and peaceful, making it ideal for dates or solo dining, and the food ranges from very good to excellent-especially the crispy tonkatsu, hearty salmon nabe, miso black cod, and comforting katsu udon-served in generous portions at reasonable prices near Times Square, though some dishes like sushi and chirashi are less impressive, and the space is clean, traditionally decorated, and typically easy to get seated without reservations.
