I found this awesome spot for banh mis that won't break the bank - only $8! The spicy pork option is my favorite, but the chicken and lemongrass tofu are solid picks too. The sandwiches are packed, so I usually ask for a bit less coleslaw to get that perfect balance of flavors. The owner operates with irregular hours, so it's best to give them a call before heading over, especially if the weather's acting up. The food is hearty, delicious, and feels like a home-cooked meal from a caring grandparent. It's definitely a staple in Portland for me.
