I enjoyed a few drinks at this sports bar during my travels, appreciating the friendly staff and camaraderie among patrons.

I did not feel safe at this bar. There were two fights within minutes of our arrival. We left without finishing our drinks.

We visited Sammy's after viewing a home for sale in a neighborhood down the street. I'm really glad we did because this bar was horrible. First we noticed that they still sell Bud Light. That is a huge red flag in itself. Second, the bartender was not well spoken, attentive, or generally sociable. Last - our drinks were awful. The atmosphere at Sammy's was depressing. There was not a lot of socialization going on and there was no music. The TV's were on but at an extremely low volume. Felt like a wake. While there we reviewed the education and crime stats of the area and concluded that this area and this bar were definitely not the place for us.

Haven't been but once since 2004 but it's still great. I was there in 2020 and the bartender was great.....going to start going again in 2021 had to get a new membership card because mine was from 2000 I actually had one of the first membership cards ever given out
