After months of talking about stopping in to this beautiful shop, we finally made it happen. As it turns out we (myself and my VERY Italian bf) entered through the side door on Halloween afternoon and were happily greeted by Paul. Marco and I immediately fell in love with this quaint little Lancaster treasure, it felt like home. We had a wonderful conversation with the very hospitable owner as we browsed the incredible selection of Italian delights. We were even privileged to share stories of Italy (and work) over a fresh brewed espresso. Such a fantastic shop with a fabulous owner. The decor is impeccable, even Marco (a contractor & union carpenter) commented on the beauty and workmanship that must have been involved in revitalizing this building. When our visit ended we walked out with a bag full of goodies and a new favorite local spot. Not until we were leaving did I find out that they weren't even open for business that day! Simply Italiano is nothing less than simply superb. Thank you for sharing a part of your afternoon with us and welcoming us into your home away from home. Marco and I will certainly be back soon and next time we'll bring his parents. Until we meet again new friend.
