I called for reservations around 2:30 on Saturday. Asked to sit by the windows and not on the patio. We set it for 2 @ 6:30. The girl who took my reservation didn't inform me that requests were frowned up.
When we arrived , we waited at the door for quite sometime. No probem.it was getting busy.
A man approached the hostess desk with hands full.
There was another couple in front of me.
The man who I figured out was the owner
I told him of my request to sit in the window area and he used a scolding tone at me because of my request. I was reminded of my position on the reservation sheet because I called after the other people did that were ahead of my reservation. Boy did he make us feel like crap. I drove all the way from Lancaster to have dinner in this restaurant. I have dined here many times and have always had a great experience. I have also brought more people to your restaurant that were 1st timers.
The hostess sat us at the table I requested. It was perfect. (Why did I get barked at?
Our server was an adorable young girl . Tall and skinny. Don't remember her name. She did a very nice job! Food was just perfect and exactly how we ordered it.
Halfway into my husband dinner, he spot a fly in his seafood platter. It was submerged in the juices. My husband was shocked and grossed out!!
I found a different server and told her of our terrible issue. I was extremely discreet and requested to speak to the owner. He came over after a few minutes, apologized and said he would remove it from our bill. He did!
He mentioned that there were a few flys around our table and they don't have flies in the kitchen. This fly was very dead. It wasn't moving and we didn't eat that much of our food yet.
He was irritated and not very compassionate. I packed up the rest of mine and we left. I did give the server a nice tip. She was a cutie.
The owner needs to adjust his table side manner and remember to not scold your patrons.
I have worked in the industry all of my life. This was uncalled for and unprofessional.
Rudeness doesn't bring smiles on
reviews. We just wanted a nice date night and it was ruined

NEVER AGAIN!!! Arrived a bit early for our 6:15:reservation which the young hostess could not find but told us we could be seated at 6:45. Took my name and number again and said she would call when our table was ready. Sat at the bar and waited 10 minutes before any of the barely over 21 bar staff waited on us. Waited another 20 minutes before the "bar manager, Frank" asked if we would like something. We ordered a drink and nicely mentioned about the lack of service. Keep in mind it was not busy. Had to check with the hostess again at 6:55 and was told again my name and number could not be found. Finally got seated after the hostess fumbled around trying to get a table. Ordered lobster bisque which came to the table cold. The bar staff were also the servers, no actual waitresses there. At that point we decided to leave but before doing so asked to speak to Frank about the poor service. While my husband spoke with him I went to the ladies room. Upon entering, two of the very young barmaids walked out of the same stall together both wiping their noses and became startled when they seen me and exiting quickly. I returned to my husband who was still speaking with Frank. I told Frank about what I seen in the ladies room. His response, "maybe they were kissing" That was the last thing I heard from his mouth because we both walked out. Seems Frank is more interested in his young harem than than the restaurant and customers. Poorest excuse for a restaurant, manager, and servers ever.
