After leaving Tommy's due to the long wait, I discovered El Matehuala Cafe with amazing food and service.

I initially planned to dine at Don Julio's, but found it closed, so I stumbled upon El Matehuala Cafe instead. I ordered the asada and bean and cheese dishes, which were both delicious. The coffee was robust and flavorful, and the customer service was exceptional. I will definitely make this my go-to spot before heading to the Flea Market. We had intended to eat at Tommy's on Nogalitos, but the long, crowded line made us leave. On our way to our usual spot, we discovered Matehuala and decided to try it out since it had no reviews. The restaurant is taking necessary safety precautions, which we appreciated. The service was prompt and the server was friendly. I enjoyed the huevos rancheros con barbacoa without any complaints. The flour tortillas were fresh and soft, and I especially liked the fried papas with chorizo - a nice touch!
