Arriving around 10 am, many of the popular donuts, including apple fritters, were already gone, highlighting how quickly the fresh treats sell out in this charming small town bakery. I sampled a variety of donuts such as custard, lemon, raspberry, glazed, cinnamon sugar, and French cruller-the raspberry and lemon flavors stood out as particularly delicious, while the custard was just average. The friendly staff, wide selection of pastries, and quality of baked goods, including vegan options and specialty items like cream horns and maple bacon donuts, make this bakery a must-try for anyone passing through Almont.

Arriving at the bakery mid-morning, I found myself three hours behind schedule, missing out on the delectable array of fancy donuts and apple fritters that had already been snatched up. Despite the disappointment, the small town charm of Almont and the bustling energy of the locals and visitors gathered there created a warm and inviting atmosphere that left a lasting impression.
