Tucked inside the bustling Reading Terminal Market, Dutch Eating Place offers a lively counter experience with old-fashioned stools and a menu full of comforting Amish breakfast and lunch dishes. The Bacon Jam Breakfast sandwich was a perfect balance of sweet and savory, loaded with crispy bacon, egg, cheese, and that unforgettable bacon jam, while the freshly chilled orange juice provided a refreshing burst of Vitamin C. Though the fries fell a bit flat in texture, the warm, friendly service and the tempting aroma of neighboring dishes like loaded home fries and blueberry pancakes made me eager to return and explore more.
