Ed’s Steakhouse is the best. I am still upset my ex wife and I missed the exit when we drove by 18 years ago. I cannot wait for my next road-trip East!

I have been going to Ed's for years. It was a good restaurant. Then around 2008 when the economy went south the restaurant went with it. They raised the prices and lessened the amount of food. The quality of the food is something you should get from a diner somewhere. Service is marginal and prices continue to rise. I will pay good money for good service and good food. Not poor service and marginally mediocre food.

I have been going here for years and have had no problems such as the ones mentioned. I take groups when I am out and about the mountains and walking makes us hungry and the food fills us up. I have been going here for years.

WE had the misfortune of doing breakfast at Ed's this past Saturday Sept 3rd.
The only good thing was the Hostess was attentive and seated us right away and the Waitress was friendly and prompt.
The food is another matter. How someone can so atrociously screw up a breakfast this way is beyond me. My wife and I both ordered from their QUICK SERVICE MENU. She the EGGS with SAUSAGE GRAVY and POTATOES and I the EGGS, HAM, POTATOES and RYE TOAST.
The eggs reminded of the military for apparently POWDERED EGGS are still fashionable at this Establishement. The potatoes were ONLY PARTIALLY COOKED and the SAUSAGE GRAVY HAD NO SAUSAGE OR SAUSAGE FLABOR TO IT. The HAM had a slightly BITTER taste (this generally happens to pork that is going bad).
The biggest issues I had is that we covered up our left over food, which the Waitress saw us do, and never once were we asked if there was a problem.
Maybe their lunch and dinners are edible but for breakfast stick to DENNY's down the street or the drive thru at Wendy's or any other chain in the vecinity.

Ed's Steakhouse in Bedford is a great restaurant. I liked the location, food and service. I will eat there when i travel to the Bedford area. For those who complain about the food, service or whaatever here's a suggestion, Go somewhere else and stop complaining. Be thankful you are able to eat out.

I will have to say the service was excellent! The food was good, but nothing to brag about. I had a filet that was overcooked (ordered medium and it was medium well). Prices are fair for the portion size. Large menu selection.

I would have to agree with the First reviewer. We dined at Eds and did in fact have to Swat Flies throughout our meal! The waiting staff was slow in responding and rather unconcerned in our needs. The prices do not bare Equivalence to the Quality of the food! The portions are rather small in comparision to most restaurants and just not up to 'par' as they once were at this restaurant.
Eds was once a good Quality Restaurant.
This was sadly no longer true!

The previous reviewer MUST have eaten somewhere else! I have eaten in places all over the world (From Algiers to Zanzibar) and Ed's is my favorite place in the eastern US. The food was excellent, plenty of it (wife couldn't finish her meal), and the staff were very helpful and interested in your meal. They were very attentive, checking to see if anything was need and responding quickly. During lunch I asked to see the dinner menu. The waitress not only brought the other menu, she also explained several things I asked about... The prices were very reasonable for that location. The same food (but not quite as good) in Virginia, Missouri and Texas would have been about 30 percent more.

I can only guess the previous reviewer mixed EDs up with another restaurant...

Ed's is probably the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The furniture is from the 1970's, there were flies buzzing all around the dinning room, the service was atrocious and the food was inedible, not to mention the prices were very high for the very small amount of low quality food you are served. Everything we ordered appeared to have been prepared frozen, no-frills, grocery store food that was probably purchased at Walmart and served as their own. $15.99 for 5 fillet tips (less than 1 inch squared), 4 slices of mushrooms and less than 25 french fries. If I wanted onion rings instead of fries there was an upcharge and I got a whopping FOUR onion rings instead of fries. The worst part was, no one seemed to care that we were dissatisfied. I would highly recommend the Wendy's drive through instead!
