After placing our order, we waited and waited and waited. On several occasions the waitress told us our order was coming right out. We still waited. We waited for 1 hour and 10 minutes! Meanwhile, other customers arrived, were served, and left! Another family, who arrived shortly after us, also waited about 45 minutes and then left. When I asked to see the manager, I was told he would be right out. He never appeared.

Finally, our party of four, also left -- without being served. When I spoke to the manager at the cash register, he told me that he was really sorry for the delay. When I asked how he could justify seven other tables (arriving after us) could be served and cleared while we sat and waited, he told me they were having problems with "a printer". A PRINTER??? I told him that was no excuse, as he had clearly seen and heard from our waitress that we were STILL waiting for our order.
I have no idea what was going on with the kitchen and wait staff. But clearly, the manager has no control of his employees. Believe me.

The service is STILL bad. REALLY BAD.

New owners are thankfully coming. Not a minute too soon. Current management running it into the ground. Can't wait to see what's new for this once favorite stop for our family.

while staying in the area I ate at Glisan's for both breakfast and dinner. The servers were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I could not believe the pies, rolls and chili was my favorite. I would highly recommend stopping by.

If you ate at Glisans years ago, it is not the same place. Ate there with a group last fall(7) people. There was not a goog meal for any of us. I had buckwheat cakes, very sour, and another dish was UNCOOKED FISH.The pies used to be great, now they are tastless with merangue about 3 inches tall but no taste. The sad partis the cook, about 18 came to our table to see how the food was--he really thought he prepared a great meal. We should have suspected this as Friday at six PM there was only 3 other people in the place.Very disappointing.

I am very particular about my steak, I like lean and tender - that is just what I got when I order a New York strip, a steak that was lean and just melted in your mouth! (I even like mine cooked medium-well) The desserts were plentiful and delicious, we took home wonderful pies and filled cookies. The dinner rolls are the really big, great-tasting yeast rolls, the same as they served years ago. The service was fast, and our waitress was very nice and helpful. This is the Glisan's I remember from years ago, and I'm glad to see it is now the same.

Passing though from NC to Pittsburgh and wont stop ever again the food was cold burnt and nasty. The new owner told us you just don't know what good food is. We use to stop 3 to 6 times a year but we will never go there again and now we tell everyone we know not to stop and waste their money. The place is a dirty dump now the front restrooms don't work and the back work about half and are very dirty.
