Yeah they had some real problems with the food at the Heidelberg and we quit eating there. They tried a few vendors but they weren't all that much better. That was from 2017 through 2020.

I passed by the place a month or so ago and the parking lot was full so I thought it was a group event. Passed by again and parking lot was full. We went in anyway just to see what was going on and WOW. Tables were full. The place was packed. The food looked great, really awesome. So we went early the following Friday. I think it was about 4:30 PM and we had no problem getting a table. Our table had fish, and a philly cheesteak, a large salad, and a white Lasagne. While we were eating the place filled up with people.

The food is awesome, it's open to the public. Just go in the front door, push the buzzer and open the door at the same time. You won't regret it now. I posted pictures of the food on my facebook page and everyone I know thinks it's awesome. Just go. I'd give it 6 stars if i could. If you don't go early it may take some time to get your food but not unreasonable. If you like Tim's in Altoona, you'll love the new Heidelberg. Oh, one more thing--fresh cut fries!

My family and I loved doing trivia on Thursdays at the Heidelberg country club. We have become extremely disappointed with the new menu. The prices went up but the food as gone down both in quality and taste. My mother ordered the spaghetti dinner and barely picked at her plate. Please tell me this kitchen change is temporary and the VIPS could bring back the black n blue burgers because they were the best!!!!! Also, Who thinks frozen French fries is ever acceptable???!!!!
