Omg...I am from Lancaster, born and raised. LaFamilia was always my favorite restraunt growing up. I moved to Hbg about 1yr ago. Over the last year everytime I visited friends and family in Lancaster I would eat at LaFamilia. Ok, so around Thanksgiving I went down there and they had no food ready (it was like 4pm on a Friday). The lady told me that they had recently decided to stay open 24 hours on weekends. Since then she said that they don't always have food ready. I was very disappointed and went to another spanish restraunt up the street (who had everything available). I went back this past Saturday to Lancaster and decided to give my favorite restraunt LaFamilia another chance. Omg....I walked in the music was so loud that I couldn't even concentrate on the food. Finally this man comes out and turns it down briefly and asks what I want (he was very short). I asked him for a small platter of rice and beans with fried wings (my usual). Omg...the wings were literally burned. I couldnt even believe he tried to serve that to me. Then I saw that the pork chops were burned as well. I finally settled for fried pork. Me and a friend of mine that had never been there decided to sit and eat so we would not have to eat while driving. The tables were so dirty! We attempted to clean them off with napkins but when he blasted the music again, that was it! We immediately left. It is sad to say but I will not be going to LaFamilia in the future!
