I have been going there for years and they have the best wing around, i know its not my place but i also need to know the reason for the brown bags and as a wing lover I now underfstand. Its an old way of keeping the wings fresh and crisp. They have did this for years. Ask instead of hate. as for the crabby waitress, shes been there for years She is a very dependable person. I also know that pete and elaine do not skimp on ingredients, they get all their meets fresh from a butcher in pittsburgh. Every year I ask Elaine to make me a pie for thanksgiving like my mom did and she doesn't even charge meand pete will throw in a jar of peppers. This is a good solid family Restaurant that have been on the map foe over many years. and always busy. enjoy the family businesses bc one day they will be a thing of the past

My daughter and I frequently went to Rye's before Covid19. We enjoy their wings and food. We always ate in the restaurant or bar area. We decided to go one day 3/24/2021 and get wings. We know the restaurant was closed so we ordered them to go. We ordered 12 wings (the cost was $27.93 for 12 wings, which I agreed to pay). We ordered the garlic/butter wings.The problem is when we got the wings they were all (garlic /butter) laying a brown paper bag. NO CONTAINER. The bag was all greasy on the bottom and it was a mess. Why would they not give a container for the wings. We were both very disappointed and will not go back to Rye's.

The worst waitress I ever had she made it very clear she didn't want to be working serving anyone wasn't very busy never bothered serve with a smile or to ask while waiting for our food if she could get us anything.
Traveled all over the world never had such bad service she was young and more concerned about out in the bar area because of the young male customers there.

Went to Rye's last Wednesday and the waitress was just mean and nasty. We have been there several times and the younger waitresses were always nice but if you ever get the older one she is a total b****. If you don't like your job then quit. Food is always good but they need to get rid of the rude waitress.
