I visited this Pittsburgh staple on a busy Friday night and, despite a wait, enjoyed friendly service at the bar along with a satisfying meal at fair prices. The menu offers a wide variety of tasty options, including house-made chips and fan favorites like the Turkey Devonshire, though some dishes may be heavy or not to everyone's taste. The atmosphere has recently changed due to remodeling, resulting in a brighter, more modern look that some may find less cozy, and occasional issues like strong air conditioning have been noted, but overall the food quality and service remain solid reasons to return.

What happened to your signature tuna melt and Reuben sandwiches?
My last visit they were no longer on the menu. It doesn't make any sense
to take these icons from the menu! I will vote with my feet until these items return!
My only reason for visiting UG was the tuna melt with waffle fries.

I have yet to have a bad experience at Union Grill, and love the tuna melt, reuben, burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish sandwich, even the salads (from an admitted "not a salad person"). The hardest part is watching everyone else's orders brought to their tables, and wanting them in addition to or instead of what you ordered. Every time there, I try and plan ahead to order something else that looked amazing.
