Stepping into Cafe Himalaya feels like a gentle escape from the relentless pace of the city, where the cozy, modest interior adorned with vintage photographs and the aroma of spices transports me closer to the Himalayan region. The warmth of the Ruthang Momo soup, with its tender beef dumplings swimming in a flavorful broth, lingers on my palate long after the meal, while dishes like the spicy Shapta and chicken thukpa offer comforting, perfectly balanced flavors that satisfy without overwhelming. Despite its small size and bustling atmosphere, the heartfelt service and authentic, reasonably priced cuisine create a welcoming haven that I find myself eager to return to again and again.
