A friend and I stopped by for lunch. After perusing the menu, the waitress came to the table to take our order. She was friendly and didn't rush us even though it was getting close to their closing time.
My friend tried to order the beef stew but was informed they were out. So he settled for the eggs, and hash combo plate that the waitress assured him was excellent.
I ordered the meatloaf meal, from a listing they had on the window. The waitress double checked that I didn't want the sandwich. No, the meatloaf. Within a few minutes our food arrived. The egg combo plate looked fine. My meatloaf consisted of two slices of 3/8 inch thick, dry looking meatloaf, with a bag of chips thrown on top. Before the waitress could drop the food and leave I pointed at the meatloaf menu listing on the window and said I had wanted to the meatloaf meal with mashed potatoes, gravy and veggie. She apologized and said the fryer wasn't working.?. What? The meatloaf turned out to be just as dry as it looked, and I paid full price for it.
My friend was disappointed with the hash, not very good and probably from a can.
To add insult to injury, as we were leaving the waitress asked one of the other customers what they were having as she was writing out their check. He told her he was having the beef stew. The other waitress pointed out to her that there was an entire pot of beef stew on the stove in the kitchen.
The experience was so pathetic I wish I could give them no stars!
There are plenty of fine diners and restaurants in the area and any of them can be reached within minutes.
