The guy that claims it's no better than Wonder Bread........ are you kidding me???
Firstly my grandfather was a European baker who made crusty breads in a brick wood fired oven,so that is my frame of reference. I grew up eating fresh breads.
I found Bristol's breads in my Ocean State store, and let me tell you I was overjoyed!!
Their bread is free of preservatives and cooked to perfection, which makes for amazing toast . It tastes like bread from my youth. Their Ciabatta makes incredible bruschetta!!
Now we go through 3-5 loaves of Bristol's bread a week in my house--and it has always been perfect. Consistent in quality AND freshness.
And their cinnamon loaf OMG!!! Tuscan Loaf and Olive Loaf are my favorites --make the best sandwiches and panninis.
Try it--you'll never eat supermarket "bread" again.

i shop at my local Ocean State store on Cape Cod. recently i found this fantastic bread for sale there. on a whim i bought it. what a surprise - this bread from the Bristol Bakery, in Bristol R.I. is the best ever! i have tried two kinds of the many offered and cannot wait to try the rest. their crust is crispy - while the inside is soft and so very tasty. this is truly a treat.

VERY inconsistent service and baked goods. Examples: Bought mislabeled bread once and told them the next day - the girl at the counter just shrugged with no apology. I have arrived 20 minutes before closing and they are already locking up. Sometimes babkas are loaded with swirls and delicious, other times I get them home and there is nearly nothing in them making them no different than Wonderbread. Be warned: this place is VERY difficult to predict due to unreliability!
