Trinidad surprised me with its Italian deli, nestled in a pretty large mountain town with a vibrant art scene. The deli has been around for about 30 years, reflecting the strong Italian presence in the area. I enjoyed a delicious SW Hatch Chili Italian sausage patty sandwich, which perfectly combined the flavors of their New Mexico heritage. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, offering a wide selection of authentic Italian foods, making it a great stop for a tasty meal in Trinidad.
