Brenda Kay is a very good cook and good at what she does. Love this place.

Brenda Kays is a local fanimy restaurant owned and run by family. When you dine at Brenda Kays you are a part of that local family enviironment. The food is hometown southern cuisine. If you want a jam up burger, Brenda Kays burgers are the best in town.

The Food is Comfort food and consistent in quality.

All the staff is very nice with exception of the young man who serves as waiter and as cashier. Over the years it has gotten tedious listening to his complaints as to his health and constant complaints as to the tips customers leave for him. These comments serve as an intimidation as to his comments and service.

Consistently he also does not follow the posted menu for the pricing. It can change day by day unless you get the Buffet. I have decided that it is not worth the hassle to see if he is working that day as to whether I go to the Cafe.

I am done and it is due only to the young man and his attitude, comments as to tips and complaints as to his lack of same as a form of either sympathy or intimidation and finally consistently being overcharged by him. Those over charges mount up and hurts my budget resulting in fewer visits. I have a set income and only Social Security.

Sorry Brenda Kay. I have enjoyed your food but no longer. Being overcharged over $2 on my last visit sealed the deal. I did not complain to the young man. I know that any complaints to him would only make it worse.

I am old. I also have pain and problems but I do not broadcast same. I want a place to get away not hear unsolicited health complaints from a much younger person than myself.

It is hard to imagine why a person who obviously does not want to work or enjoys serving others is allowed to be a waiter/cashier.
