I've been eating Carolina bbq for years and I love it. Their sauce is the best.

I saw one reviewer on here accuse someone of lying because they gave a bad review. Well, I don't lie. I have had Carolina Bar-B-Que three times since we moved to Aiken. The first two times were good. Nothing exceptional, but good. The last time I picked up takeout earlier this summer, I threw half a pound of barbecue in the garbage. The sides were fine, but the pulled pork was mushy with almost no flavor. I don't know what happened that day, but it was probably the worst pulled pork I've ever had in the Carolinas. I have not been back. Dukes has been more consistent, but their sides lean more toward casseroles. I would much rather have fresh squash just cooked with onions and seasoning than a casserole. The most consistent pulled pork I've found in this area has been Pot Smokers on Silver Bluff Road.

I'm just leaving five stars because it's by far the best BBQ around. But that person that left that negative review is lying like hell. Seems like a dukes fan tryin to throw some shade or either they couldn't taste it cause they had corona.

Went there today 1/29/2021 for 1st time in about a year. Food was horrendous. BBQ quality was bad. No taste to food. A waste of $10.

None better! Same as you remember it. I have been going since it opened. Their Hush Puppies are the best and they make perfect sweet tea. But what I go there for is the tender tasty pork barbeque cooked on site (look for the smoke!) unique sauce on the side, and rice and hash. Great slaw, potato salad, mac and cheese (smoked with the bbq!), fried okra, fried squash, beans etc. Until COVID was buffet style. Take out is good too but I miss the buffet. Fingers crossed!

I have been enjoying BBQ there on a regular basis for over 20 years! The food is always tops and the hush puppies are the best in the South. When I order BBQ at other restaurants when I travel I always compare it to Carolina BBQ and Carolina BBQ always ranks higher. I have friends from out-of-state who come to town for a visit and bring an ice chest so they can take Carolina BBQ home with them. I live in Aiken and there are a number of places that sell BBQ within 2 miles of my house. When I want BBQ I drive the 10 miles to New Ellenton for a good meal.

This place is just amazing, i was just so amazinly impressed. i want to eat it every day. my partner and i went in there and they were just so nice. we ate so many bbqs that i could barely even stand up. so yum yum. im gonna eat there again tomorrow.
