If you want a filet mignon or a high end meal, do not go here. But if you want a reasonably priced meal that is very good, this is your place. I love it when you read some of these reviews and the people complain but they are too cheap to go to a more expensive eatery. They want something for nothing, but isn't that the way it always is? I love the patriotic feel of the place- we just moved here from California and it is nice to feel that we are once again in America

stopped in chelsea jo's 2 saturdays ago and left my $200.00 harley jacket behind, didn't really worrie because mary our friend (we thought) would grab it for me, which she did. went to get it and it was locked in the office so they said to come back at 4 and mary will get it for you! ok. i came back and mary got out of a cab for her shift, i asked her for my jacket and she seemed nervous, ( i should have suspected something then) she went to the office and came out 10 minutes later claiming the owners daughter cleaned the office and must have put it somewhere (ya like on her back) anyways mary told me to come back following tuesday and shed have my coat. ok, i did, no mary, no jacket. her day off and owners wouldn't even call her! the manager says i dont know what happened to the jacket, someone must have went into the LOCKED office and took it!! obviously its an employee or they let strangers in thier office! needless to say thier a bunch of lying thieves. karma! cant wait!! oh, as i was leaving the owner wouldn't get off his fat -ss to even try to resolve this. as im leaving he's GOT HIS FAT PIE HOLE yelling across the parking lot "DONT YOU KNOW THAT EVERYONE IN MYRTLE BEACH ARE THIEVES" AND I SAID WELL OBVIOUSLY YOU HAVE THEM WORKING HERE! LOSERS! SO IF YOU GO THERE DO NOT TAKE YOUR EYES OFF YOUR BELONGINGS BECAUSE THEY SEEM TO THINK IF ITS LEFT THERE ITS A GIFT FOR THEM!! karma! what goes around comes around! enjoy!!! so sad that people actually think they're entitled to other peoples things. i work hard at what i have and dont appreciate so called friends screwing you!

worst food i ever had. our whole party ended up with diahrrea! nice huh!! meatloaf was a sponge with brown gravy to hide its appearence. also burgers were dry and over cooked. fried chicken was ok. never will go back there...dj sucked and drinks were weak...ate there a long time ago and it wasn't bad, but now i think it's gone down hill. good luck eating there!!!

At 57 I WasTheYoungest InTheplace.
BaKed Potatoes Were Not Ready. so had to wait for them to come out by then my undercooked broiled flounder was cold.
watch the owner play with The clean silverware to be rolled
he Then wiped his nose and mouth , Coughed In his hand and continue to play with silverware

Great food at a great price; homey, comfortable place! Smoke odor killed the 5th star, tho; not overwhelming but noticable.

Okay folks I've read you reviews so now I will tell you like it is. Chelsea Jo's is a local hangout...Older folks enjoy the cheap prices and the good food with generous helpings on the Diner side and no smoking. The Bar side is a different story, same menu, same prices, but it's a bar so it allows smoking, music, and alcohol, did I mention its a bar. The owners are great people and go out of there way to make you feel at home. The bartenders & waitstaff work hard to make sure you have a good meal at more then fair prices. The happy hour is 4 til 7 and during most sporting events, YES it is a REDSKINS bar so if your a Steelers fan go to the 100 other bars located here. They are a great place with great people and you will not beat the prices. Are they perfect???? NO, is there a view of the Inlet????NO, If you want to wait in line and spend $50 for you meal this is not the place for you. This is a honest review on the place, so give it a try and decide for yourself.....

After reading Carson's review, I have to add to mine ... The DJ sucks. He has a mickey mouse set up and cannot sing worth a lick. In fact, we've seen very few good singers @ Chelsea Jo's. Go for the food, not the Karaoke. As Ravens fans, we also time our visits to avoid the Redskins games.

Very Clean, good prices and despite what some have said, I have always had an excellent meal there. Their country fried steak is in the top three I have ever eaten. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the smoke from the bar area sometimes invades the dining room. Ask for a seat a far from the bar as possible and that should take care of the smoke. Look at the cars in the parking lot. It wouldn't be full every night if it wasn't good.

Ate here twice. 8 oz Burger, fries, slaw, $4 - can't beat the price and it was DELICIOUS. 2nd time, Sunday special - fried chicken, 2 sides, $9. Another fantastic meal! We will go back again. Beware: This is Redskins country. Lots of rowdy fans come for the games.

If you want to eat food that is loaded with salt, you will love it. Heart patients beware. Cold garlic bread that could not be chewed was also a disappointment. We have eaten there twice, but have found that it is a clean restaurant, but the 4 different dishes we tried were not worth going back for. Sorry.

The food here is amazing! The prices are unbelievable, I got a rib eye steak for 14 dollars that was bigger and tastier then ones i had on the Inlet and 12 dollars cheaper, The Bartenders are great and accommodating too, I have never had a bad experience here. Sometimes its hard to find parking but that's because its a great place to eat but Even when the parking lot is full, i have never had to wait long for a table.

Best place ever...go 6 times a week....everyone should try this place at least once...don't listen to the negativity this place is amazing and they are probably just grumps!!!!

My friend had cold fries. My chicken wasn't even warm and undercooked. Sometimes, the food is very good. Just don't go when the parking lot is full.

Oh, one more thing...the first time I went was for a hamburger. It wasn't cooked enough.

This was one of the best meals I have ever had! We stopped because they used to own one in Lake Anna VA and we are from Va. Stopped for Dinner and I ordered steak and my husband ordered flounder and they were wonderful. Went back two days later for lunch and the meat loaf is out of this world. The service was great. The owner Lester and his wife came out and talked with us for a while. This place is good and very friendly. You need to try it.

Worst place to go. I'm a local, so you get 1 shot to get it right, and if you don't.......no second chances as we have many restuarants to choose from. Service was absolutely the WORST. I had ordered a chicken dish, and it was so undercooked, they should of been shot on the spot for serving food like that. When I showed the waitress, she just treated me so horribly. My husband had their spaghetti dish and he said was was so nasty and that he felt it tasted "old". For him not to eat says a lot, because he'll eat anything. Horrible food and Horrible service. F
