You absolutely must visit La Cantina for a unique dining experience in the greater Augusta area. The mango Pico de Gallo and horno oven-cooked steak are must-try dishes, and the hospitable staff truly make it a special outing. Remember to make reservations in advance, as they are only open on Fridays and Saturdays for dinner, and be prepared for a leisurely dining experience that is well worth the price.

What a grand dining experience! We dined at La Cantina as part of our 20th wedding anniversary celebration and enjoyed a truly magnificent and memorable evening. Laura, Rusty and staff were very gracious hosts. Laura went above and beyond to insure we were sure what we ordered was something we would enjoy; Rusty's cooking expertise on the horno was outstanding; the food was just "off the chain"; the ambiance was wonderful; and the entertainment by the multi-talented Rusty was very enjoyable (though I wish we could have seen some of his ventriloquist work as well). This place is a gem! We will be back!!!

I don't know how to describe our experience at this restaurant. Lets start with service...bad no refills on drinks requested salt and never got it. Tables that ordered after we did got their food before ours arrived. The the cheese and olive appetizer was a joke, you can buy jars of olives and blocks of cheese all say.The salad was swimming in salad dressing. My husband and I both ordered the hobro steak, what a mistake. It was tough and not cooked properly. When I complained I was told they could cook it again. If it is already tough can you imagine what a re-cooked steak would be like. When you are paying steakhouse prices you expect a steakhouse quality steak. I could have gotten a better steak at waffle house. They did me a favor and took $2.00 off my bill. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME TO FIND THIS PLACE! GO TO T-BONES
