The food at La Carreta Mexican Restaurant on Old Trolley Road in Summerville was decent, offering typical Mexican cuisine found in many places. However, the service was slow during my visit, which was a bit disappointing. Despite this, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff are accommodating, making it a nice spot to enjoy a meal with family or friends.

I ve been there many times, and the food was good , but the last time I went the food was disgusting!!!!! ....I had ordered the shrimp with scallops Dinner and the scallops were smelly and rotten, and due to the owner or manager being on vacation to mexico, the one in charge said I had to speak to the manager, Who of course is not there and charged me full price on something that I couldn't eat!!!!! I left all the scallops there...Now its a week later and NO MANAGER To be had! He's still in Mexico.... I will never return there again, nor will I ever suggest any of my customers where I work at my station.....THANK YOU La Carreta for nothing and stealing my had working money......

The margaritas were fantastic but the food was a little too "cookie cutter" for us. Nothing tasted home made. The dining area was clean but a look into the kitchen on the way to the restroom was a different story. The service was decent even though I didn't get exactly what I asked for.

We may go back to watch a game and share a pitcher of margaritas but we won't eat there again.

My girlfriend and I were very pleased with the selections on the menu! Our food was delicious, service was great, and restaurant was very clean!! Draft Dos Equis 32 ounces and pacifico bottles were on the top of our list for drinks!! Recommended highly
