Awesome food

The food is prepared and presented nicely. Very delicious. However service is extremely slow. Not sure if it's the kitchen or server of the day. In addition to having to wait forever for the meal you most likely will have to ask the server for utensils, condiments and beverage refills. The hostess rates a zero on being cordial and providing an upscale environment to your table. Bottom line, if you can ignore the hostess's insensitive attitude, not be in any rush, be assertive asking for things that should already be in place and have the patience regarding wait time, you will eventually get a wonderful meal.

Eating at Malia's is always a special event. There are always interesting soups and other dishes on her menu. I especially love the Steak Salad. My next choice is the Shrimp & Grits. The Bananas Foster dessert is to die for. It is always an extra treat when we get to chat with Robert or Malia herself. My very favorite restaurant anywhere.
