The food here consistently impresses with fresh, flavorful seafood and generous portions, including standout dishes like fried shrimp and stuffed flounder, complemented by friendly and attentive service. Although the atmosphere is casual and the decor modest, the quality of ingredients and variety of nightly specials make it worth visiting, especially for those willing to spend a bit more for excellent surf and turf.

The food at The Variety Restaurant is really delicious, and the service is consistently friendly. They offer a variety of fresh seafood options that are not too greasy. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for a tasty meal with large portions.

I don"t know where you people are eating but my girlfriend ordered a 12 oz. steak. It was $34.99. I buy better steaks at Walmart for $16.99 and I get two 1 inch ,nicely marbled,great tasting steaks.. It was fatty and flavorless. My fisherman's platter was just o.k. 5 scallops, 5 shrimp and 5 oysters. Minuscule shrimp and scallops, I might add, $29.99. My sister ordered 3 scallops and 3 fried oysters $20.00. The baked potato and salad were the best part of the meal and the salad was basic iceberg,tomato,onion. The fried calamari appetizer was a whopping $18.99, while it was delicious, the portion was not even enough for two people. If you want to spend may I suggest Prime Steakhouse in town. I will not go back to The Variety.
